there are 10 red marbles, 5 blue marbles, and 8 green marbles in a bag. if janice has only one chance to take marbles out from the bag without looking into the bag, what is the minimum number of marbles she must take out from the bag to ensure she gets at least 2 marbles of the same colour?

well i think the answer got two..1)2 2)4

theoretically 2 is correct when it comes to most lucky situation,first 2 try both same colour.
After think sometimes 4 is another possible answer.When it comes to most "suey" situation whereby u pick all 3 colours in 3 different try, so the 4th try must be either one of them.
Yea nowaday primary school maths question required thinking eh ? haha

Please take note that the first eight topics (Paper 1) of Maths T and Maths S are the same. Besides, Maths T and Maths S are mutually exclusive. In other words, a STPM candidate cannot take both subjects at the same time. Maths T is taken by most science stream stuedents whereas Maths S is taken by some art stream students. Meanwhile, Further Maths is taken as the optional fifth subject by some science stream students.Hope it clarify the doubt of your,clara.
